Follow Your Dreams

Have you ever had a dream of doing something? Have you wanted to play the drums? Or maybe learn a new skill. Baking, sewing, the world is filled with beautiful things to do. Don’t limit yourself and engage in what you desire to do. Many try to find excuses for why they can’t. Instead, they should focus on why they should.

If your thoughts keep going to that one thing that motivates you, it’s giving you a distinct message. Don’t ignore it because you owe it to yourself to try. This lifetime is a gift, and we are here to experience it. There is no room to be an observer when you can be the doer. Time in this life is fleeting; accomplish your dreams. If it works, great; if it doesn’t, great too. Why? Because you tried. You lived, and you enjoyed the journey.

I wanted to become a writer my entire life. I worked in jobs I disliked a lot; however, like most, I had bills and a family to raise. However, one day, destiny grabbed my attention. I bought a book about something called the Nanowrimo movement. It’s when writers from all over the world write 50,000 words the length of a novel in the month of November. This idea fascinated me. However, I didn’t know what to write about. But as many authors know, the story will only reveal itself once you actually sit down to write.

It took me more than a month to write my first book. But I did it and am proud that I did. I followed my dream, and that is something no one can take away from me. Follow your dreams and be inspired. Life is magical.
