This has been a sad week for my family. My ex-husband has died of complications of Covid-19. We are just heartbroken. Looking back when I was younger, I always assumed that tomorrow was promised. As the years have progressed, I have learned that that isn’t always so.
My father passed when I was 34 years old. My daughter is younger than I was. As a mom, it breaks my heart to see her in pain. I want to do everything to make her feel better. However, knowing that everyone grieves in their own way, I must give her the space that is needed.
Life is full of loss. Life is also full of love. However, in my belief, the soul does live on. They are still around us. We, though on the human side will still experience emotions. There are many stages of grieving. There is no right or wrong way. There is a saying that says time heals all wounds. It doesn’t heal it numbs it a little. But when you lose someone that you love, you will always remember them.
It makes me appreciate my life. We must all understand that we are all connected. Even the toughest of times can lead to the most beautiful journey. If you are missing a loved one, pray. There is power in prayer. God bless you until next time.
