Names Of Satan

Satan is powerless because of Jesus Christ. In the King James Bible, he is referred to by different names. Below are some of those names and some of the verses where they can be found.

11. And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.

9. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. 10. And I heard a loud voice saying in strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our breathren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.  11. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

24. But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.

36. Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.  37. He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man: 38. The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom: but the tares are the children of the wicked one: 39. The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world: and the reapers are the angels.  40. As therfore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.  41. The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; 42. And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. 43. Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

4. In whom the god of this world hath blinded the mind of themwhich believe not, let the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.   5. For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus;' sake.  6. For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesu Christ.  7. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.  8. We are troubled on every side, yet  not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair: 9. Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destoyred: 10. Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.  11. For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus; sake, that teh life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.

23. And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that that Son of man should be glorified.  24. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.  25. He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal. 26. If any man swerve me, let him follow me, and where I am, there shall also my servant be; if any man serve me, him will my Father honour. 27. Now is my soul troubled, and what shall I say? Father,  save me from this hour, but for this cause came I unto this hour. 28. Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again. 29. The people therefore, that stood by, and heard it, said that it thundered, others said, An angel spake to him.   30. Jesus answered and said. This voice came not because of me, but for your sakes. 31. Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.  32. And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.  33. This he said, signifying what death he should die. 34. The people answered him, We have heard out of the law that Christ abideth forever, and how sayest thou. The Son of man must be lifted up? who in this Son of man? 35. Then Jesus said unto them. Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you; for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth. 36. While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.  37. But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him.  ​
